Another 150 Call Centre Jobs in The
North East
An expanding international contact
centre is targeting the recruitment of
around 150 new staff as it looks to
cement its presence in the region.
twenty4help, based at the Watermark in
Gateshead, provides around the clock helpdesk and multilingual
technical support to hardware and
software companies around the world.
However, after recently being acquired
by French company Teleperformance, it is
looking at expanding its North East
client base, and is working with
regional development agency One
NorthEast to identify opportunities.
Klaus Oesteroth, Managing Director of
twenty4help and responsible for the UK
operations’ strategic development, said:
“Our aim is to become one of the top ten
outsourced contact centres in the UK and
its leading provider of technical
support services, a position we already
hold in Europe. The company, which was
founded in
Dortmund
in Germany in 1992, currently employs
400 staff in the
UK,
250 of which are employed in Gateshead,
but is expecting to increase its
workforce to around 550 over the next
few
months.
Judith Mottershead, Operations Manager
at twenty4help, said: “These are more
than call centre jobs, as we invest a
great deal in the training and
development of our staff. We also have a
policy of promoting from within the
organisation and given the technical
variety of our work, there are many
different opportunities.”
